Prayer, both private and corporate, is central to the life at St David’s. We believe that very little of lasting value in church work is ever achieved without prayer. Consequently we make time to pray together in a number of ways:

  1. The Monthly Fellowship Evenings (see picture below). We meet either at the church building or in the Centre on the first Wednesday of each month, to share scripture, sing, and pray for the Lord’s work, both locally and around the world.

  2. Weekly Prayer for the Parish. We meet at the Rectory on Friday mornings from 8:15 to 8:45 to pray particularly for the weekend ahead, and any other pressing needs.

  3. Weekly Prayer for the Sick. Wednesday mornings after the midweek Communion Service, in church

“The greatest thing anyone can do for God and for man is to pray. It is not the only thing. but it is the chief thing.” SD Gordon
