Children are an important part of the life of St David’s and we hope that they feel part of the Church family. The prayer for the children at St David’s Church is that they come to know and love the Lord Jesus for themselves at a young age and continue to grow in him. We see the children’s work very much as a partnership with families.
“But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus” 2 Timothy 3:14-15
There is a creche for children 0 - 3 which meets in the creche room and there is also a carpeted area at the side of Church for parents with very young children where there are some toys and books.
Sunday Club meets every Sunday at the 9.30 service except for the third Sunday in the month when there is normally a Family Service. They children begin in Church and then normally go over to the St David’s Centre after the first reading. Parents are expected to collect their children as soon as the service is over occasionally the children will be brought back during the last hymn or for Communion but this will be announced at the beginning of a service.
